LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Lafayette Central Catholic's baseball team
claimed its fifth straight state championship on Saturday at Victory
Field.
The win didn't come easy though for the Knights. Central Catholic trailed Vincennes Rivet 3-0 in the fifth inning.
The Knights rallied back and tied the game at 3-3. Then in the ninth inning, freshman Adam Lovell came through for the Knights.
Lovell
singled to left field, which allowed Ben Page to score the game winning
run. The Knights then mobbed Lovell after the 4-3 win.
Central Catholic finishes the season with a 31-5 record.
