On Deck Baseball Academy Visit

Wow, just got finished with some cage work with Nick at On Deck Baseball Academy & ran across a couple of former opponents, Dylan Sterrett of Frontier/Chicago State University. Also there was Keifer Mikels formerly from Frontier and now with St. Josephs University, both superb ballplayers. Good luck to them this year.

The Milgram Experiment on Authority & Obediency!!!

Watch in reverse, part 1 at the bottom, then 2 & this one is part 3, thanks!!!

Part 3
P

Part 2

Part 1

Again, the US is sleeping with the enemy!!

The title of this headline (article below) is nothing but more war propaganda by the US war propaganda machine. Although I disagree with Iran to some extent as supporting terrorism as they do at least have a known terrorist group. But, can anyone name any acts of terrorism by North Korea? How about Cuba? Can anyone name the terrorist groups related to these 2 countries?

US ok's business with terror supporting nations!!!

Biggest political lie of the year!!!

Anyone thinking this choice to be any different is nuts. This took the cake & most of us knew better. I thought it might be the outrageous figure given for Obama's trip to Asia. But, it wasn't!!!

The Biggest Political Lie of the Year

Star Trek no longer mythical!

Teleportation quickly becoming a reality. Star Trek not such a mythical sci-fi series after all. Beam me up Scotty!!!

US Ally Condones Torture!!!

Is there any difference between the US committing these acts or sending humans to a facility knowing that's what exactly will happen? Then claiming in main stream media that the US does not in any way torture or condone torture.

WikiLeaks: India "Condones Torture" in Kashmir!!!

Lance Armstrong's Last Stand Outside the US!

Although in a declining career, Lance sure gave us fascinating years before his first retirement. Thanks Lance for the excitement & the help to the cancer community. LIVESTRONG LANCE!!

Jason McCartney, Lance Armstrong the only Americans on RadioShack Tour Down Under Squad

The Lance Armstrong Cancer Foundation!!!

This is why we need WikiLeaks!!!

This is not the first time this has happened!!! The US, in it's tremendous desire to cover up these two wars has again mislead the American public. This incident is exactly why we need WikiLeaks, someone has to be accountable for our government's cover ups & lies to us. These types of reports have happened numerous times & numerous times have been found to be untrue.

And, I wish people would fckn get off the belief that it's because of the Democrats or it's because of the Republicans. Cover ups & government deception has been going on for decades!!!

Supposedly slain al-Qaida terrorist resurfaces in Yemen

And the propaganda machine speeds on. Here's an article reporting the use of child labor in other countries & it's on the rise. Ummmmmm, surely that's not why most of US products come from.....China, Tiawan, countries where child labor runs amok. Similar is the story of Cheney & Halliburton using "cheap labor" (Iraqi workforce on their own oil wells, well not now, they're US oil wells) in running their occupation of the Iraqi oil wells.

More Countries Use Child Labor, U.S. Says

An idiot has spoken!!!

Bush was certainly proud of his tax cuts when he made them while in office. He's now offended that the American government & people refer to them as The Bush Tax Cuts!! What gives GW??? Man up buddy!!

Cheney & Halliburton avoid criminal charges yet again!!!

Bribing his way out of criminal/bribery charges!! This is not the 1st time Cheney & Halliburton have committed criminal acts. It will be the 2nd time they've avoided prosecution though, by agreeing to pay fines! The 1st involved the theft by overcharges of billions, this one involved bribery. The man & company are criminals! Yet, they still build a massive pipeline in Iraq, stealing a commodity from the Iraqi people & they are doing this under questionable terms, uh, mainly using cheap/child labor!

Cheney, Halliburton settle Nigerian criminal charges by paying fines!!!
Cheap labor flows to Iraq!!!

Americans supporting mass killings by drug cartel!!!

This very much sounds like the very type of incidents in which our government accuses Iran of doing in the Iraq war.....supporting the violence in Iraq with weapons against the US military & Iraqi civilians. Americans are sending weapons to the drug cartel in Mexico which are used to kill innocent civilians, drug enforcement agents.

Firearms from U.S. being used in Mexico drug violence

NCAA Hypocrisy!!!

Ok, I'm sitting here listening to The Heisman Trophy Presentation & discovered that Boise St. has a player attending the presentation with a small possibility of winning. I firmly believe Boise St. had they not lost their game against Nevada should have been allowed to play for The National Championship. Not according to the BCS though. The reason, Boise St. plays cupcake teams because they are in a small school conference. Get this though, college football is the only sport that does not give every team a "chance" at winning the national title. According to the BCS, if they ruled the entire college sporting programs, we would not have seen Butler play powerhouse Duke last year for the men's basketball title. Oh, by the way, Butler lost by only 2 points. In every other college sport except football, teams have a "chance" to win it all by winning the conference or winning the conference tournament, then playing in The NCAA National Championship Tournament.

I would have liked to see Boise St. playing for the national title!!

Ok, here's my beef. Boise St. has a possible Heisman winner & obviously this has nothing to do with the BCS, after all, how does a player from a small school, from a small school conference get this far, after all they play cupcake teams, supposedly with cupcake players (no offense to any teams)??? Total hypocrisy!!!

Another CC award for our baseball team!!!

Last year (2009) Coach Bordenet received an award for the team being International Catholic Team of the Year. A tremendous honor for both the players and the coaching staff at Central Catholic. This year Coach Bordenet receives another honor, District 4 Coach of the Year, congrats to him and all the players involved as well as parents that put in so much of their time to help this wonderful staff. As a parent, I'm so grateful that my son Nick has been a part of this and want to thank past Seniors & the coaching staff that have guided him through his first 2 varsity years, especially Taylor Glaze!!! Hopefully the torch has been passed on and the new team can carry the load this upcoming season.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Central Catholic baseball coach Tim Bordenet has been named the District 4 Coach of the Year by the National High School Baseball Coaches Association.

The award represents the Midwest Region, which is comprised of Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

Bordenet, who was honored for the award at a ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee in early December, led the Knights to the 2010 Class A state baseball championship last June, the Knights' third state title in the past four seasons.

Assange vs Daniel Ellsburg!

Ok, many people may not be aware of who Daniel Ellsburg is. He is famous for "The Pentagon Papers", documents leaked to the public about a government that falsified war documents & numerous other things about the VietNam war. About a government & military not even close to being honest with its own people.

WikiLeaks, well, Mr. Assange is nothing more than a modern day Daniel Ellsburg. Personally, I want to know when my government is bullshitting me. Or bullshitting me by BS other countries.

This is an excerpt from yahoonews.com:

TheDC: You’re famous for reading the Pentagon Papers into the congressional record. Do you see Julian Assange as a modern day Daniel Ellsberg?

Quote: "Mike Gravel (MG): Yes, in point of fact, this is the most significant effort to save democracy (which is slowly being eclipsed by the Military Industrial Complex) since the release of the Pentagon Papers. The revelations of Wikileaks are not an endangerment to American troops in our far-flung Empire, but they truly are an embarrassment to America’s political leadership today. The response of this leadership is merely an effort to hide their malfeasance and to protect their reputations".

Also under consideration is a new 9-11 investigation. Now, I'm not yet certain what type of involvement the government had but I do know they were negligible in the very worst way. Also, there are facts that prove some peculiar behavior by our president weeks before and weeks after 9-11, behavior that involved the head of Pakistans intelligence agency, who just so happened to visit the US 1 month before 9-11 & 2 weeks afterward. Also noted was the fact that he wired $100,000 to Atta the lead hijacker weeks before 9-11. Also unexplainable is how WTC building 7 collapsed. Clearly & without a doubt it was a controlled demolition. Check out the video below.

Facts also show that Bush was well informed by CIA, FBI as well as other countries that Bin Laden was going to attack. The infamous Aug. 6, 2001 PDB shoved up his and Condi Rice's ass also show the facts. Below is a link to a chapter of the final report, notice just how inept Bush was!!!

US global control, end it now!!!

Can anyone tell me why the US so desperately needs to control other countries basic functions? Like this housing market strategy by Israel?

There is an "I" in team in Minnesota!

Clearly one players "wants" are being put before "team" at Minnesota. Sad to hear this cause interim coach Frazier I admire, after all he's from the 85 Super Bowl Bears. But cmon Fraz, Farve controlling you that much?

Coach: Rest key for Brett Favre

The Hoosiers on the rise!!!

So far the IU Hurryin Hoosiers are getting some decent wins. Not that these teams are of any quality but IU is beating them rather handily. Big test next week, The Kentucky Wildcats!!! Having huge recruiting classes the next 2 seasons should put them back at the top of the Big Ten and nationally ranked!!!

WikiLeaks vs US Government!!!

Absolutely no doubt in my mind that the US is taking action against destroying this organization. And there's no doubt in my mind that the US government will resort to covert illegal actions if necessary!

Also, it is way way to ironic that Assange is all of a sudden wanted on criminal sex charges. I can't find any information that mentions anything about this after the first set of leaks. Just another despicable covert operation by the US government.

U.S. officials deny they are urging technical takedown of WikiLeaks

Here's an article on CBS Online. It claims that the US State Department 'did not" make a comment warning Columbia University students not to comment about WikiLeaks online if they were pursuing a career in diplomacy. Columbia University is an education facility for international & public affairs.

I do believe this is in violation of the 1st Amendment of the United States of America, which protects for freedom of speech. Although denying this threat happened, I think otherwise.

State Dept. Denies WikiLeaks Warning to Columbia

Snowstorm!!

Well, we've gotten the 1st snow of the year, well, the 1st that means anything. Got hungry for a snack at 5am & decided to drive over to Village Pantry for some donuts. Couldn't find the ice scraper in the trunk, had to use the hands. Looks like a bit more snow on the way. The 1st snowstorm of the year is always fun, get to slide around driving, go sledding, have a snowball fight. After that, I just soon it go away.

Drive careful people!!!

The USA & World Cup Soccer!!!

Ok, the USA was just recently denied hosting the World Cup in 2022. This does not surprise me a bit as a couple years ago we lost the chance to host the Olympics in Chicago. Lots n lots of frustrations, some idiots even blaming Obama. Look, it's high time the US people get off themselves. Our arrogant, narcissistic society is not liked worldwide. It wasn't an all of a sudden overnight ordeal. The US is forever isolating itself from the rest of the world through it's despicable actions & interactions with foreign governments. We must not continue to keep demanding these countries whether allies or foes to bow down to our wants!!! Personally, I think the path is set & there's no way to turn around. Another decade & it will be us (us as in "we") vs the world. There's something very wrong when a country is hated & despised by every single other country on this earth.

Soccer is not even near being a popular sport in America but now that the decision has been made for Qatar to host these games, we act like little cry babies & pretend soccer is an elite sport here. Would the US consider an invasion of this country & occupation?LOL LOL How dare a country as small as this out do The US?

Qatar hosting 2022 World Cup!!!

Gosh, another government control, livin in Cuba starting to look pretty good!

Fuck!! I thought one of the last things my government could control is my eating habits. I'm starting to lose that battle as the government clamps down on people that are obese. Heck, by government standards I was obese at age 36 while being a serious amateur cycling athlete with 11% body fat. Actually one day I wasn't considered obese, then the government changed how the formula was calculated & boom, overnight I became an obese cyclist. I trained on 250-300 miles weekly, doing 80-100 miles on Saturdays if I wasn't racing. I was fit!!! But the new government calculations call me a fat boy!!! LOL

Now the government wants to ration my internet usage? WTF gives with these communist rule idiots?

Government to ration our internet usage!!!

Conspiracy theory lives on!! Even at FOX!!!

I have touched this subject before in a previous entry. Now, I find it extremely hard to believe that a presidential administration would go to this length to provide a reason for a war. Well, until I read up on President Johnson's "Gulf of Tonkin Incident". He, his administration, military along with mainstream media conjured up a fake battle in order to mislead the American people into surging troops to VietNam for a war. Now, the question is, would Bush kill thousands of Americans in the search for a war against Iraq? Yea, Iraq, after all, it's already a known fact that he was looking for a reason to invade this country from day 1 of him taking office. BUT, he had to have a reason. Below along with a link to The Tonkin incident is a video link of building #7 falling later that day on 9-11. Now, clearly there were fires sporadically spread through out the building but we all know the difference between a building being brought down on purpose (a controlled demolition) & one from stresses to the structures. Keep in mind, these fires & stresses to the structures were sporadic through out the building.

I could make a long list of our government misleading the American people, remember The Iran/Contra Affair during the Iran/Iraq war in the 80's?
While publicly supporting Iraq militarily, then illegally selling arms to Iran to support terrorism in South America.

Gulf of Tonkin Incident!!!

Building 7 collapsing on 9-11!!

Cam Newton, The NCAA, Auburn & just plain BS!!!

Ok, we've been waiting 1/2 the season to see if Cam Newton would be eligible to finish the football season as a player for the Auburn Tigers. Simple review of the situation is that his father demanded & received $200,000 for his son to play football at Auburn. Supposedly, Cam knew nothing of this, therefore it makes it acceptable, at least on his part, the NCAA has ruled. No idea what repercussions his father will suffer if any or the agent. This was a pay to play scenario, so it seems Cam would have known somehow, someway of this situation, as choices of where to play came about & why.

What this story does is teach us that so long as our children/athlete with a chance to play a college sport can act dumb about a parent getting money, it is acceptable, at least from the athlete's side of the argument. I'm certain that Cam & his father had some sort of decent relationship so I find it hard to believe the son knew nothing of this. If he didn't & received nothing from the father, wow, thanks Dad, for illegally cashing in on my success.

If the father & the agent are not pursued (& Cam in some sort of way), this is going to open a huge Pandora's box.

Newton cleared to play!!!

Updraded news on WikiLeaks founder!

Numerous news articles over the past several days showed us readers just how bad the US government wanted to prosecute this guy for something. There was something very illegal about leaking documents containing our governments involvement in war crimes, criminal acts against the people from other countries, global military domination, general bad mouthing of our strongest allies, criminal acts in misleading the American public!!!

No doubt that if The US wants a person in jail, & in jail for a cause, that they will sway the American perception. So now the whistleblower is wanted for sex crimes. So very ironically this guy leaks information that makes our government look like The Nazi regime of Adolf Hitler that he's now wanted on sex crimes.....I'm now collecting my $$$$$$ from the numerous bets placed on this guy that 1)he would end up wanted on some sort of charge other than anything to do with the leaks, 2) that the charges would be sex crimes!

Leaks, leaks, leaks, an idiot speaks!

President (former) Bush has spoken, the leaks will hurt foreign relations. Ummm, I think what was said by our government behind our allies/enemies back that is leaked is what hurts our foreign relations. Bush, just don't get it!!

Calling leaks 'damaging,' Bush says Wikileaks will hurt U.S. relations

Monday, November 29, 2010

How then will the US government be held accountable for criminal acts???

U.S. looks for way to prosecute over leaks

Should the US government be allowed to change laws while in progress in order to prosecute a person that leaks information that supports criminal activity being committed by military & government officials against other countries & it's population?

In the future, how will the US government be held accountable for criminal behavior? Afterall, had it not been for Bob Woodward & Carl Bernstein of The Washington Post & their informants, Watergate would have never have taken place & an administration would have gotten away with countless criminal acts. It was Mark Felt, an FBI insider that leaked pertinent information about the criminal activity of President Nixon & his political crime syndicate.

Personally, I want to know that my government is not acting criminally towards other countries & its population, which is exactly what we've been doing for years. How will we know if the government is allowed to conceal information? It's clear we cannot "always" trust mainstream media because that is controlled by the government. Why do I want to truthfully know what our government is up to? Because, my belief is that these are the very reasons us Americans are in danger from terrorism. The 1st & most dangerous is the fact that the US is exercising global military domination. Something the entire earth feared was happening when Hitler stormed to prominence during WW2. Why does the US need 700+ military bases scattered in over 156 countries. We are now working on building relations with Yemen, the end result being military bases in this country.

US attempting to change laws while in progress!!!

US military bases in the Middle East alone!!!

The worldwide US military empire!!!

US military bases around the world, how long can it last?

Despicable act by US government to the Guatemalans (infecting them with STD's for study)!!!

The US has a long history of despicable acts. More acts than I have time to type up here but will mention a couple. Taking Hussein off the bad guy list when he invaded Iran in 1980 then supported his regime, also supplying his government with chemical weapons & knowing he used them. Also, illegally selling arms to Iran in this very same war, using the money to support terrorism & an overthrow of a government in South America, hence The Iran/Contra Affair. We've recently removed Sudan from a terrorist list, why? More military bases in the Middle East that's why!!!
The invasion of Iraq? Right now Halliburton is building a massive pipeline from the oil wells to the Persian Gulf? The US supported the Taliban & Bin Laden in Afghanistan in the mid 90's. Oh
, I could easily go on.

The Pentagon Papers!!!

The Pentagon Papers are another example that the US people are being misled by its government.

The government very rarely is honest with the American people with the propaganda wars, especially if it's losing a war in a foreign country. I firmly believe the American people should know where they stand in situations of this magnitude. Right now, we have a government acting very similar to Adolf Hitler. Global military domination is a goal. The ways in which we are getting there are criminal & putting us Americans in grave danger. The terrorist acts are a result of this. The acts are not an offensive belief of these countries and the militants, it's a defensive act. These leaked documents only support the theory I've had for years. Wake up people, our government is deceiving us in the biggest way!!!

MCain calls for regime change in North Korea!!!

Geeso, hasn't anyone realized from Iraq & Afghanistan this doesn't work? Crap, until the US learns that we absolutely cannot make God fearing, democratic Christians out of these people we are in trouble!! A world governed by what the US calls a democracy will never work, just ask Hitler about global domination with his Nazi ruled world. it won't freaking work!!!

Wouldn't the US be co-conspirators?

Ok, I really don't understand the convictions of this individual, well, actually the non-convictions of any US involvement. Yes, the US was involved. The US government sold chemical weapons to Iraq, they knew then that they were being used on both the Iranians & the Kurds. As the US military witnessed these very same incidents at the end of Gulf War 1, I find it absurd that now they deem it as criminal. If it is now, it was then also!!

Hussein sidekick found guilty!!!

China spying on our e-mails? What, like Bush did?

I do not see how this could be such an American people's concern. What, after Bush was already doing this under his Patriot Act & the use of warrantless wiretaps? And, I am extremely certain the US is already doing this to China!!

China spying on our e-mails!!

The propaganda war rages on!!!
By GOD, it's US vs them!!!! Just like it was when it was US vs the Native American Indians!!! By all means, they are the BAD GUYS!!!

Will these leaked documents break the camels back?

I'll be surprised if these documents make it to the public. I strongly feel these are the documents that should break the camels back, that camel being George W. Bush & his dictatorship built around false informing of the public, war crimes committed & defiance of The Constitution of the United States of America. I have long since believed this administration committed war crimes, some of those have come out with the last documents leaked. These will provide far more evidence on this subject. The question is, will these documents make it to the public?

It is very clear that the Bush administration knew there were no WMD's in Iraq but chose to invade & occupy anyway. Then Bush, Cheney, Libby & Rove outed a CIA agent that revealed the knowledge of no WMD's, putting her life in extreme danger. Bush committed criminal acts in squashing any evidence Valerie Plame could use in a civil suit, commuted Libby's sentence days after he was quoted on national television supporting the judge's sentencing of Libby. These acts are only a small faction of the dictatorship Bush operated.

Who's the real aggressor?

North Korea!!!
Considering the US has over 700 military bases scattered in 156 different countries, who is the actual aggressor here? Heck, why couldn't this be considered a defensive move in the long run as the US continues it's military base build up around the world. The most recent considerations are Yemen & Sudan. The US has agreed to pump millions into Yemen to help fight terrorism. Do you know that this really means military build up in yet another country?

Here we have an article that describes North Korea as an aggressor as they have launched artillery onto a South Korean island. I do not condone this whatsoever. I can certainly understand a person's concern over this latest incident. The US government along with the American people deem this country as insane for many reasons. 1) they have nuclear capability and are going to use it. Well, the US has nuclear capability and has used it also......well the H bomb anyway, killing many 100,000's of Japanese innocent civilians. The use of nuclear weapons was a very serious consideration during the Vietnam war also by the US. 2) are they insane because of a simple military incident? Yes, I call this simple because the US has used military action 40+ times since WW2, casting their military bases across the entire earth, so who's insane here? Our government propaganda says that North Korea wants to take over the world. Ummm, what makes us believe that? Do they have a history of invasions? The US history of invasions is not like any other country, hands down. We have a long history of invading countries then turning out to be an occupier, period!! Below is a list of the global military dominance the US exercises.

Here's a cut out of one of the articles concerning the worlds belief about the global military empire.

The World Responds

“Social movements have proliferated around the world in response to the empire of US bases.” For some, just their presence is an affront to national sovereignty and pride. Others reject their purpose – aggressive wars, continued violence, and all the other above-cited fallout wherever they’re located. Globally, these bases “represent a massive injustice” to host nations and communities where they’re located.

In the Middle East alone

Worldwide military empire

Global military dominance, how long can it last?

Leyritz acquitted!!

I posted a comment last week about the possibility that Jim Leyritz was just not getting a fair trial in his DUI manslaughter trial. Don't get me wrong, I'm not supporting anyone that drinks, drives, then kills another driver. But, this case was different. You see, the victim was intoxicated also, she ran a red light, was speeding, all while texting on her cell phone as the accident came down. For some reason these were the important issues not allowed in as evidence for the defense, hence, my feelings that he was getting railroaded.

My issue with this case? That the judge was not allowing a huge amount of evidence into the trial showing that the victim was extremely responsible for this accident. Here is a list of evidence not being allowed in: 1) the victims BAC or blood draw, which was double the legal amount allowed by law 2) that she was on her cell phone texting & talking at the time. Oh, there was more but now is not the time to dwell on that as the jury evidently saw right through this debacle of a trial.

I do believe Leyritz needs to be held accountable for his Driving Under the Influence as the jury found him. On what grounds this judge applied to disallow so much victim evidence in, I have no idea. But, fortunately due to no justice by the judge he was found innocent on the manslaughter charges.

By CURT ANDERSON
updated 1:11 p.m. ET Nov. 20, 2010
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - A jury in Florida on Saturday acquitted former major league baseball player Jim Leyritz of DUI manslaughter in a 2007 crash that killed a mother of two.

However, Leyritz was convicted on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence, which carries a maximum sentence of six months in jail. Leyritz had faced up to 15 years in prison if convicted on the manslaughter charge.

Sentencing was set for Nov. 29.

Socialism, master race & government stupidity!!

Gawd, I am always wondering what the f... the US Government is up to? Now a massive attempt at controlling us Americans eating habits & controlling our kids daily diet is underway. As we lose freedom after freedom, the last freedom I thought I would have to give up is the right to choose what I want to eat daily. Now, the government is taking this into unreasonable territory, making decisions on what our children eat. To do this, they want to use the BMI process (a formula used in determining a persons body fat ratio) in order to label our children as not fat or fat, well just OBESE!!! The US government is adding fuel to the bullying fire with this operation but that's another discussion entirely. My guess that obesity excuses fill the air as the biggest reason school children get bullied, at least during my school years that was one of the biggest bullying issues......fat students.

The US is manipulating the process and here's how deceptive the US is in trying to apply this tactic. From the age of 24 to the age of 45 I was a serious amateur cyclist. At the age of 41 while attending Purdue University raced for the collegiate team, even placing in some races. Through out those years I was extremely competitive in those amateur races outside the collegiate level. I trained on 250-300 miles weekly, so, I was in shape with a body fat ratio of 10%. And up until the age of 35 or so was not considered obese UNTIL the government changed the formula for figuring a persons BMI, so, overnight I became a rather fit cyclist to an obese one. In 24 hrs. I was deemed fat by the new government obesity standards. At any moment the government can change the formula again which would place even more Americans into the obese column.

Today, I feel grateful, I just went out and bought a gallon of Cookie n cream ice cream & on the way home stopped at Burger King for 3 of their $1 dbl cheeseburgers!!! All before I lose the right to choose my daily diet!!!

(CNN report) Labeling our children obese has very dangerous repercussions socially!!!

Government interfering with our childs freedom of choice & the right of parents to parent their children!!!

CC baseball vs CC baseball from Burlington, WI.

Anyone claiming our Central Catholic Knights schedules cupcake opposition for their sport teams only need to look at their baseball schedule each year. The supposedly easier schedule in football is because of conference games only, not enough games to schedule otherwise, this is changing as we move to a new conference. (3A) This year it gets a bit more challenging in baseball as we will play another CC team from Burlington, WI, a class 4A school that according to this article has won the state baseball title 2 of the last 3 years. My son Nick has said they have 4 titles in the past 5 years.

Last year we played several top ranked 4A schools with convincing wins over Lafayette Jeff, Kokomo & McCutcheon. Most of our varsity baseball schedule includes 2A, 3A & 4A schools. Our only roadblock the past 2 years is 4A Indy Cathedral who beat us 6-0 in 2009 & 14-0 in 2010. Both years Cathedral put Dillon Peters on the mound, a top national recruit going to Texas for baseball. Nick pitched against him both years, relieving 5 1/3 innings in 2009 giving up 1 earned run in the 7th, entering in the 2nd inning with bases loaded, 2 outs & down 5-0, we lost 6-0. In 2010 Nick got the start, again facing Peters but this day turned out to be one of those days as Cathedral scored 6 runs off him in the 1st 2 innings, some unearned.

The past 2 years we have not had an answer for Cathedral. Cathedral was runner-up for the 4A state title last year in one of the most intense pitching duels I've ever seen, including our 2009 war with Cowan in the regional finals that had Taylor Glaze (our ace) against 1st round draft pic (Tampa Bay) Justin O'Conner. They battled to a 1-1 tie at the end of 7, a 2-2 end of 9 innings.

In the state final game (4A) both Peters and the opposing pitcher went 9 innings of scoreless baseball. 3 hits given up by Peters, 2 from the opposing pitcher from Carroll (not the one in Flora, IN). Carroll squeezed a run in in the top of the 10th, Cathedral couldn't score, a 1-0 thriller!!!

In receiving this information from Nick, he sounds excited already, long wait though!!!

Burlington Catholic Central wins Division 4 baseball title

Grand Chute - For the second time in three seasons, the Burlington Catholic Central Hilltoppers are state champions.

Propelled by a 13-hit attack and helped by seven Chippewa Falls McDonell errors, Catholic Central beat the Macks, 14-4, in five innings on Thursday morning at Fox Cities Stadium in the WIAA spring baseball Division 4 title game.

Third baseman Mackenzie Shepherd went 4 for 4 with 5 RBI for the Hilltoppers (21-10), who were knocked off by McDonell (22-5) in the semifinals at last year's state tournament.

Catholic Central broke the game open with five runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings.

Tyler Floyd struck out six to pick up the victory for the Hilltoppers, who also won the Division 4 title in 2008.

Jim Leyritz being rail roaded in trial!!!

I cannot hold back any longer on expressing my feelings about the injustice Jim Leyritz is receiving in his DUI fatality trial. You might remember Leyritz from the world series a few years ago in which he starred in for The New York Yankees. His trial is being aired on truTV during a program called In Session.

Now don't get the attitude I'm supporting an athlete & his serious offense of driving while drunk causing a fatality which is what he's charged with. Here's where the problem starts. Leyritz was intoxicated, well over the legal limit. His victim, a female just so happened to have an extremely high BAC also. She also ran a red light causing the accident. Here's where Leyritz is getting railroaded. The judge absolutely refuses to allow into evidence the victims BAC!!! Nor will the judge allow into the evidence that she had actually run the red light. The judge also refuses to allow into evidence that would show the victim while running a red light was texting & speaking on her cell phone. It was also noted the victim was driving without headlights and speeding at the time.

In the long run, Leyritz should be held accountable for something in this. I disagree that it should be a DUI fatality as the victim ran the red light, was texting on her phone, and was intoxicated herself. Why the judge is not allowing this into evidence is beyond me nor do I understand on what grounds.

Another IPD officer criminally in trouble!!!

I'm sorry dude, you are a 16 year veteran of law enforcement, one of which puts tremendous amount of public trust in you, and you committed a very serious crime(s). Covering up your crime(s) while on duty & to this extent is a serious offense, you should clearly be fired!!!

By TheIndyChannel.com
An Indianapolis police officer recommended for termination after an investigation into a hit-and-run crash with his patrol car said he doesn't deserve to be fired.Officer Matt Elam, 40, a 16-year police veteran, told 6News' Derrik Thomas exclusively Thursday that he was shocked to learn he may lose his job."I was very upset and surprised," he said. "I know other officers have been suspended for a period of time for things that they have done wrong."

Police said Elam was involved in a minor property damage hit-and-run crash in June and then tried to cover up the damage by taking his patrol car to a private repair shop.Chief Paul Ciesielski said on Wednesday that if Elam had stayed at the scene of the crash, he would have been suspended instead of recommended for firing.

Elam's attorney, Ralph Staples, said he believes the department is overreacting after recent controversies."The administration may be reacting harshly to situations that may not call for such harsh reaction because of public clamoring now because of situations that doesn't involve Matt," he said, referring to the public outcry in the case of Officer David Bisard, who is accused of hitting and killing a motorcyclist while on duty.

Elam has been a member of the department's SWAT team for the past 12 years. He was awarded two medals for valor, including one for his actions during a 1999 hostage situation where the hostage taker, Ricky Adams, was shot and killed by the SWAT team after he killed his hostage.Elam, who is currently suspended without pay, said he just wants to return to the job he loves."I enjoy helping people.

That's why I've always wanted to be on the street, and I didn't get a desk job," he said. "When people need help, I want to be the one to show up and help them."Police would not comment further on the case. It has been referred to the Marion County Prosecutor's Office for review.

Destroyed interrogation tapes!

This incident has Bush's name written all over it!! Countless incidents in which George Bush operated above the law!

No charges will be filed!!! (MSNBC article)

Bush is a liar!!!!!

I distinctly remember Bush saying on national television that he was supporting the sentencing of Libby, then he later commutes it. Another incident in which Bush and his administration acted above the law!! Bush also abused his power by forcing the investigation to stop, denying Plame an opportunity at a civil suit, again another abuse of power. This is called dictatorship people!!!

Sleeping with the enemy!!

US may reconsider Sudan's terror list status

This is exactly what we did with Iraq during Iraq's invasion of Iran in the 80's so we could support them militarily. Look out people we're headed out to sleep with the devil again.

By LOU KESTEN • The Associated Press • November 7, 2010

WASHINGTON — The United States may remove Sudan from its list of state sponsors of terrorism as early as next July, U.S. officials said Sunday, provided the government in Khartoum meets an assortment of benchmarks.

Of primary concern is a Jan. 9 referendum in which southern Sudan will vote on whether to secede from the northern part of the country. The south is widely expected to vote for independence.

The U.S. is insisting that the referendum proceed as planned, and that the northern-based government respect the results, before it will consider removing Sudan’s terrorist designation.

The referendum is part of the 2005 peace agreement that ended a 21-year civil war between Sudan’s mostly Muslim north and predominantly animist and Christian south that killed nearly 2 million people. The agreement also set up a unity government in Khartoum and an autonomous government in the south to rule until the southern referendum.

The two sides have been struggling over several issues, including borders, voting rights and control of oil-rich Abyei, which straddles the north-south border. Residents of Abyei are scheduled to hold a separate referendum on Jan. 9 to choose whether the region will join Sudan’s north or a possible new country in the south.

Salva Kiir, president of southern Sudan, has expressed concerns about a serious risk of violence during the referendum.

Sen. John Kerry, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, met with Sudanese leaders over the weekend and presented the Obama administration’s proposal to remove Sudan from the terrorist list. It comes on top of a September offer of a range of incentives, including possible restoration of full diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Sudan.

Bush, Cheney, Libby, & idiots!!

Oh gee, Bush did go above the law and commute Libby's sentence though. Libby should have been imprisoned just as the judge sentenced him.
What Bush, Libby & Rove did were incomprehensible & put Valerie Plame & Joe Wilsons lives in great danger, they both put their lives on the line for Bush.

Posted by Lucy Madison

In an interview that aired on NBC's "Today Show" Monday, Former President George W. Bush said his decision not to pardon former Vice Presidential aide Scooter Libby in 2008 did not sit well with former Vice President Dick Cheney.

"Scooter is a loyal American who worked for Vice President Cheney who got caught up in this Valerie Plame case and was indicted and convicted," Mr. Bush told NBC's Matt Lauer. Mr. Bush noted that while he chose to commute Libby's sentence, Cheney "wanted more." "He wanted me to pardon him," Mr. Bush said. "It was the last decision of the presidency, really. I chose to let the jury verdict stand after some serious deliberation, and the Vice President was angry." (Watch the clip at left.)

In 2007, Libby was convicted in four felony charges related to the 2003 leak of CIA agent Valerie Plame's identity, a leak thought to be a politically-motivated attack on her husband, Joseph Wilson. Wilson, a diplomat who had looked into alleged links between weapons components in Africa and Iraq, voiced his belief that the Bush administration "manipulate intelligence about Saddam Hussein's weapons programs to justify an invasion of Iraq." (The incident is dramatized in the new movie "Fair Game.")

Libby was sentenced to thirty months in prison. He ultimately avoided jail time thanks to Mr. Bush, who commuted his sentence to $250,000 in fines and two years of probation.

Mr. Bush, who was on the "Today Show" promoting his memoir "Decision Points," wrote in the book that he had considered dropping Cheney as his 2004 running mate in order to demonstrate that he was in charge. He suggested Cheney "had become a lightning rod for criticism from the media and the left" who "was seen as dark and heartless - the Darth Vader of the administration."

Mr. Bush said on "Today" that although he "was a little concerned at one time" about the status of his relationship with Cheney, the two are now on good terms. "I'm pleased to report...we are friends today," Bush said.

"It was a hard decision to make," he said of his handling of the Libby situation. "But that's what you do when you're President: You make hard decisions."

"Decision Points" hits stores on Tuesday.

George Bush has a new book, oh boy!

A quote from his book, ""My blood was boiling. We were going to find out who did this, and kick their ass," Bush writes."

Absolutely didn't accomplish this. Was even quoted a few years later that finding Bin Laden was never his goal in fighting 9-11. Ummmmmm (scratching my head)

Republican BS already!

First of all, I want to say that I'm neither a Democrat nor a Republican. I find positive issues in both parties as well as negatives in both & never vote a straight ticket. One thing I did hear last night on Anderson Cooper from a female elected Republican & the topic of cuts in government spending. Anderson asked her to name 3 specific areas in which she wants to cut government spending. Her first and only reply was "cutting out" Obama's upcoming trip to some foreign countries. I don't know what trip this is & have not further investigated it. If someone is to lie about something I hate when they attempt to test my intelligence. This is how she did that......and I think Coopers intelligence also as he confronted her several times on the facts of the trip.

Her first resolution in government cuts was that he should not even take the trip....calling for a telephone conference!!! Second, & this is where she really tested my intelligence. Claiming Obama was taking 2,000 people on this one week trip, costing tax payers $200, 000 million a day!! She distinctly said this ordeal was reported. Cmon now, where? When Cooper confronted her as to where he could find these figures or who reported and where to find this information she bumble fucked around, then bit her lip in the process of being disorganized as it was clear she had no idea what the fuck she was talking about. She refused 5 different confrontations as to what specific programs she would cut for spending....but could not get out of the Obama trip issue.

Bush, a war criminal??

The use of contractors in Iraq is only a cover-up for the real reason Bush wanted them there!!!

These private contractors are nothing more than a front for terrorism & murder of Iraqi citizens by The US government. Bush once said that these private contractors are not under the same rules of engagement for war and that he has no authority in what they do. I have said for years that The US is every bit as despicable as any other country in which we've invaded. One can only look back at certain incidents in US government/military history. These are only a few.

First, The Iran-Contra Affair/Iran-Iraq war in the mid 80's in which we took Saddam Hussein off of our "list of most despicable leaders on the face of this earth" & supported his military during Iraq's ruthless invasion of Iran. C'mon now, Hussein turned into a saint overnight? Not only did our government support Iraq, we supported Iran also, ummmm, both sides of 2 insane countries??? How crazy is that??? The US shipped tons of chemical weapons to Iraq & very well knew Hussein was using them both on Iranian's & the Kurds in his own country.

Then, along comes our invasion of Panama & the capture of Noriega. He was convicted of massive drug trades in the US. What he was really guilty of was he was gun running for The US government & drug running for the US, helping funnel money into radicals/extremists in an attempt at a coup in South America, the US desperately had to cover this up. What else but to arrest him for drug running massive amounts of cocaine to the US for the US government. The US was using this money to attempt at a coup of a South American country.

What many Americans also don't know is we supported the overthrow of Bautista in Cuba in 1959. Originally, Bautista was a strong US ally, but allies change with the US anytime we no longer deem we are getting our way. In comes Castro who was popular with US government at first & was providing new freedoms to the Cuban people. Colleges were open to women, it was beginning to flourish. This was good for the US, a new and near puppet for the US government. But Castro in support of his own people began to break up the huge illegal land grabs (under Bautista) by the US for the sugar cane production. Castro & Cuba needed help from America to thrive, food, etc. The US denied this because of the rich American land grabbers were being confronted by Castro. It wasn't by choice that Castro turned to the USSR. This leads to the relations now between the 2 countries. And the intense heated relations with Spain thru out the 1900's over who owns Cuba. The US claimed it belonged to America. I myself question this. Looking at the race makeup of Cuban citizens who do you think is right? But then again, Caucasian people were not originally from American soil, it belonged to native American Indians.

We have supported Bin Laden & the Taliban on 2 separate occasions. We have supported 2 successful coups in Iran, both times actually overthrowing the very leader in which we put in power previously. The same for Chile back in the 60's.

I have researched US military actions since WW2. The number stands at above 40.

My son's first real job!!!

I just came back from the Payless Supermarket by the mall where my son Nick just started working. I guess I could say this is his real first job but it's not his first in which he earned a paycheck. His first was on a friends farm at the age of 10 I think. You see, Nick loves animals and has spent numerous hours in local pet stores just hangin out. He has had many pets over the years so this job was fascinating to him. His job on the farm? Cleaning out horse stalls 2 hours on Saturdays at a friends horse farm. Each time I came out to pick him up he wanted to stay & do more work....even for free. This past summer he did 2 things. He worked with a female friend cleaning apartments. This was short lived as it was inconsistent. He also helped me to remove weeds from landscapes of resident's houses. I am so proud of the big guy, 2 more years and he's out of school, the times have been fantastic.

Can we say back to back state titles in football also??

CC easily extends league winning streak

By SAM KING • sking@jconline.com • September 4, 2010
MICHIGANTOWN -- In its final Hoosier Heartland Conference season, Central Catholic wanted to send the message that it is the team to beat.

The Class A No. 1 Knights made that statement soundly Friday night with a 48-0 victory at Clinton Central. It is the 26th straight HHC football victory for the Knights dating back to Sept. 2003.

Behind three touchdowns from sophomore Brad Schrader and a defense that allowed just 52 yards, the Knights buried the Bulldogs in a 41-0 halftime hole in a game where several key players returned from suspension.

"This is the last time we are going to be in this conference, so you've got to come out there and make a statement," Schrader said.

Clinton Central gained just two first downs -- the first with 10 seconds left in the first half -- and had 50 rushing yards on 33 carries (1.5 yards per carry).

"I thought our defensive coaching staff did a good job of taking away what three or four of their base plays were and tried to make them beat us with something different," CC coach Kevin O'Shea said. "We tried to take away some of their speed and their little toss play they like to do with (Cody) Cannaday.

"We were able to get our speed to their speed and make some plays."

Jake Churchill scored on a reverse from 38 yards on CC's fourth play, then booted the extra point in what would be a good night on the ground for the Knights (3-0).

"Usually, our mission is to get going fast and try to score, and we got up early and tried to capitalize on every drive we could," said Danny Anthrop, who has not played in the second half this season as CC has outscored opponents 168-6.

Schrader scored on two 20-yard runs and also got into the end zone on an 8-yard screen pass. Austin Munn and Sam Kochert also scored rushing touchdowns.

The Bulldogs only kept two punts inbounds all night. One was downed in the fourth quarter when CC didn't put a returner back. The second was caught on the sideline by Anthrop, who dashed and darted his way to a 46-yard touchdown return.

Including last year's semistate loss to Fountain Central, Clinton Central (0-3) has given up at least 41 points in four straight games. The Bulldogs have been outscored 131-16 in three games this season.

Central Catholic has scored at least 47 points in seven consecutive games, while compiling 18 straight victories and 17 regular season wins in a row.

Schrader and Anthrop each had 45 yards to lead a CC attack that gained 228 yards on the ground. Munn completed 9 of 12 passes for 87 yards.

Jade Crum rushed 12 times for 22 yards to lead the Bulldogs, who are 0-3 for the first time since 1995.

Broken hearts, broken dreams!!

First of all, congratulations to the Greensboro, NC team for moving on to The Colt World Championship game against Puerto Rico. This was a great game to watch and a sad game to experience as a parent when a chance to play for The World Championship was just within grasp.

Our All-Star team played well but did miss out on a couple of scoring opportunities that may have changed the outcome of this semi-final game. Miscues cannot be made at this level of play and expect to win. In saying this, Greensboro made a couple of incredible plays that without them would have changed the outcome. Each one of our players gave it their all. Our last batter who struck out I commend because he went down swinging (means he went down fighting) & to see him experience the moment of defeat & drop to his knees just outside the batters box is brutal to watch as a parent. I know this feeling well. Last year I, myself experienced this same feeling as Nick drops to his knees, curled up on the mound as he gave up a game winning hit last year against Tampa in the bottom of the 7th inning in one of our 1st games. He bounced back later against Mexico with a win & I know this great young athlete will do the same. That must be the place to go when this defining moment arrives....on the knees on a baseball field, face buried in shock!!! After all it's where these young kids place so much of their time & effort into their dreams. They should be proud!!!

Also, I want to thank all the athletes from every team. I have been fortunate enough to see some excellent baseball players from around the globe over the past week. I will most likely go see The Championship game tonight as Puerto Rico will play Greensboro, NC at 7pm. It won't be the same though.

Nick did get Jose Valentin's (Puerto Rico assistant coach) autograph along with his sons (starting player). Jose is a former major league baseball player in The US.

A brutal loss!!!

Lafayette vs Puerto Rico CWS webcast!

Nick came in to pitch the bottom of the 6th inning to halt any further damage. It was a 3 up 3 down inning but the damage had been done. Puerto Rico was just way to powerful on this night.

Gurabo, Puerto Rico, pitcher Daniel Concepcion is glad he got to watch the Lafayette All-Stars defeat Pharr, Texas, on Saturday in Colt World Series opening-night action.

Impressed with coach Dave Alexander's team, Concepcion pitched a a complete-game four-hitter Sunday night in an 8-1 pool-play victory in which he struck out nine and walked none.

Lafayette's Austin Kiracofe was safe on a two-base error to begin the top of the first inning and scored seconds later on Zion Bell's sharp single to center.

Thereafter, Lafayette had only one runner reach second base, and Puerto Rico pulled away with a five-run fourth and a three-run fifth.

Puerto Rico is 2-0 in the Red Division and has outscored the Czech Republic and Lafayette by a combined 26-2.

Puerto Rico will clinch the Red Division's No. 1 seed if it defeats Pharr, Texas, on Tuesday night.

"The start doesn't matter," Concepcion said of trailing 1-0 into the bottom of the fourth. "No matter how the game starts, I will keep doing my job. I always pitch like the game is 0-0. I bring all my stuff, no matter what.

"I know that every day is not going to be my best, but I know that I need to stay in the game. That's what I did tonight. No walks also is very important. That's the name of the game. If I throw strikes, I know I will get outs."

Lafayette starter Nick Moody walked none and allowed only three hits before being chased in Puerto Rico's five-run fourth, which included a two-run double from Jean Rodriguez and a two-run triple from Christian Rivera.

Moody walked two of the first three he faced in the pivotal fourth inning, when he couldn't find the plate.

"They're not intimidating, but they are very good," Moody said. "You have to hit your spots against them, and if you don't, they're going to hit it.

"They did that. They are a good hitting team, and I didn't hit my spots in the fourth inning. They took advantage of it, which is the sign of a good club. Early, I was real confident, but that (fourth) inning got to me."

Moody is encouraged by the fact that if Lafayette defeats the Czech Republic on Tuesday night, it has an excellent opportunity to advance to the medal round for a second consecutive year.

"We're not out of this," Moody said. "We can come out strong and beat the Czech Republic. Then, if we win another game, we're in the championship. I think we can do it."

Lafayette manager Dave Alexander liked what he saw for three innings.

"Nick really threw very well," Alexander said. "I thought he got tentative when a guy got on base instead of pitching the way he was. And then we don't turn a double play in that fourth inning.

"We're out of the inning if we turn the double play. Then, things just went to heck. Their hitters are good."

Alexander didn't like his team's approach against Concepcion.

"We looked at way too many strikes," Alexander said. "It happens. We just didn't play well tonight. But we've got a chance to get back to the medal round."

Puerto Rico manager Julio Campos was confident his team eventually would get to Moody.

"It was like how we have been doing it every day," Campos said. "If we get (behind), our kids know how to make adjustments in each inning and on each pitch. They do those adjustments when we need it.

"Lafayette has a pretty good club. I admire them a lot. Their pitchers do their jobs. (Moody) held us for a long time, but we started hitting after while."

Concepcion was excited to pitch in front of a Loeb Stadium crowd of 2,137.

"I respect Lafayette a lot," Concepcion said. "I saw their game Saturday night against Texas, and they played a really nice game.

"I know that Texas always brings good teams to these tournaments. For me, this was pretty special. I respect the Lafayette crowd. They were pretty good, too."

Our Colt team wins 1st game against Pharr, TX!!

We play powerhouse Puerto Rico tonight at 7:30pm. My son Nick #5 waiting! Puerto Rico put up 18 runs against Chech Republic yesterday, today's game is huge!!

Brian Ghiselli pitched a complete-game masterpiece, and four 15-year-olds provided the bulk of the offense Saturday night, leading the Lafayette All-Stars to a 7-3 Colt World Series opening-night victory against Pharr, Texas.

A Loeb Stadium crowd of 2,557 watched the West Lafayette right-hander pitch out of a first-inning jam before settling into a consistent rhythm of getting ahead in the count with curveballs. Ghiselli scattered eight hits, striking out eight and walking none.

"Getting ahead in the count definitely was the key to my success," Ghiselli said. "If I can get ahead in the count, I can throw that offspeed pitch for a strike and get them down in the count. Then, I can get them from there.

"Our second inning was awesome. They came out and hit well, and then I calmed down a little bit. At that point, I was ready to go, because I knew I had the guys behind me. That was a great feeling. This definitely is one of the best games I've ever pitched, especially in front of that big crowd."

At the plate, it was 15-year-olds Austin Kiracofe, Peter Ripke, Ryan DeBoy and Griff Clark combining to drive in four runs, including three in the top of the second when Lafayette took a 3-0 lead.

Shortstop Ripke led off with a single to center, and Parker Rhoads was safe on a fielder's choice. With one out, Clark drove in Ripke with a single to center. Kiracofe then followed with a two-run double to center.

Lafayette extended its lead to 5-0 in the fifth, which included a bases-loaded walk to DeBoy. Outfielder Nick Bartolone also had a run-scoring single to center.

Pharr, which scored 26 runs in the South Zone semifinals and finals, pulled within 5-3 in the bottom of the sixth, getting a sacrifice fly from Jeremiah Galindo and run-scoring singles from Brian Barbosa and Jacob Garcia.

Lafayette countered in the top of the seventh. Bartolone led off with a single to center, stole second and scored on Ripke's third hit, a long double off the right-field wall. Ripke advanced to third on a flyball and scored on a passed ball.

"It all starts in the batting cage," Ripke said. "When you see the ball, you've got to look it all the way into the catcher's mit. That makes you see the ball a lot better. I got all the nerves out after the first inning, so when I went to the plate, I felt really good and smooth."
