Bordenet to Hall of Fame!!!

Central Catholic's Tim Bordenet will be one of five inductees into the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in January.

A 1987 graduate of Central Catholic, for whom he earned Indiana All-Star honors, Bordenet then played baseball at Evansville and Purdue. In 16 years as a head coach, including two stints totaling 14 seasons with the Knights, Bordenet has compiled a 355-149-1 record.

Central Catholic has won five Class A state championships under Bordenet, including three straight and four in the past five years. His Knights teams have also won nine sectional, eight regional and five semistate championships.

Bordenet, who also coached two seasons at Muncie Central and was a Benton Central assistant for two seasons, served as IHSBCA president in 2007-08. For the past six seasons he has served as Central Catholic's athletic director.Highland coach Dan Miller, Western coach Ty Calloway, southern Indiana American Legion coach Jim Haaff and former San Francisco Giants infielder Bruce Miller are the other inductees.

The induction ceremony will take place on Jan. 20 as part of the annual baseball clinic awards banquet.
